La Dra. Nancy Álvarez debutará el lunes 19 de febrero a las 2 de la tarde en “Desiguales”, un innovador talk show del canal norteamericano Univisión que reunirá de lunes a viernes, a las dos de la tarde, a cinco mujeres con perfiles e historias de vida únicas. Álvarez se une así a Adamari López, exitosa empresaria y personalidad de televisión; Amara La Negra, cantante, bailarina y actriz; Karina Banda, periodista y presentadora de televisión; y Migbelis Castellanos, presentadora, modelo y actriz. “Mis redes están llenas de personas que me pedían, una y otra vez, que volviera a la televisión. A mí me daba mucha pena, porque no había tenido una oferta que realmente pudiera tomar en cuenta o que me gustara”, afirmó la psicóloga hispana más popular de Estados Unidos. La cadena Univisión indicó, por su parte, que “estas diversas voces atraerán a los espectadores a conversaciones profundas sobre actualidad, relaciones, cultura, crecimiento personal y más. Sus puntos de vista y experiencias contrastantes generarán debates animados y ofrecerán una lente multifacética del mundo en el que vivimos”. Álvarez adelantó que hablarán de temas de todo tipo. “Siempre voy a enseñar y educar. Es lo que me interesa, porque en este mundo no se toma en cuenta lo que decimos profesionales y expertos. Cada día más, vivimos con la tragedia de políticos hablando sobre educación sexual. Esto me ha hecho darme cuenta de que tengo que hablar más que nunca, porque nos están robando la voz a los expertos y a la ciencia”, añadió la terapeuta familiar, psicóloga y sexóloga. Nancy Álvarez es doctora en Psicología Clínica y PhD en Sexualidad con maestría y postgrados en Terapia Familiar y de Pareja. También tiene una maestría en Programación Neurolingüística (PNL) y es hipnoterapeuta. Nació en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana. Su show “Quién tiene la razón” es sinónimo de éxito en Estados Unidos y América Latina. Junto a su esposo, el Dr. Álvaro Skupin, ha trabajado en el campo de las células madre. Preside en EEUU la Sociedad Latinoamericana de Células Madre (Solcema) y es su vocera oficial en el mundo. Actualmente es presidenta de Psicoaxis Corporation, Dra. Nancy Productions y de Mother Stem Institute. También ha creado su línea de productos relacionados con la salud física y emocional, entre ellos “Up Chaca Chaca” y “Buen Sleep”.
